DESCRIPTION:1 day Sculpting workshop\n\n10am till 4pm\n\nSaturday  15th and 22nd\n\n724 South 3rd Street\, Renton\n\n$160 \n\nAll tools and materials provided\n\nBYO lunch\n\n Put your hands into something creative\, make a sculpture in a day!\n\nShare an afternoon with other creative people.\n\nExperience a new ALL WEATHER sculpting material. \n\nDo the impossible\, create finished work on the day\n\nEasy\, fun\, and exciting.\n\nPal Tiya is a new NON-FIRING sculpting material developed for artists by artists. It was designed to overcome the costs and difficulties of making permanent work that can go outdoors. \n\nKim Beaton is a sculptor of 20 years experience and a spfx veteran of the Hobbit films. She has worked with nearly every sculpting material on the planet including bronze\, wood\, ceramic\, fiberglass\, resin\, and concrete and taught in most of them. Kim's largest sculpture was nearly three stories tall and she particularly enjoys bringing communities together to create large public works.  A passionate teacher\, her desire is to make sculpture more accessible and affordable to all artists.\n\nKim will also be doing live informal chats with the public while working on a large sculptural commission in downtown Renton. Stop by at 724 South 3rd Street and see the artist in action. Bring her donuts and you may get the chance to experience the process first hand.\n\nWant to talk shop?  Kim is also seeking advice/feedback from artists with some prior teaching experience. Please stop by and share your thoughts.
